RIAA suing citizen for copying legally purchased CDs to PC

We knew it was bound to happen.  The red headed step child known as the RIAA is at it again.  They are currently suing Jeffrey Howell, an Arizona resident, not because he downloaded a bunch of music from limewire, but because he transfered songs from his “legally” purchased CD’s to his computer.  Instead of just signing over a check to them Jeff has decided to take his chances in court.  How does the RIAA expect us to change our ways and purchase music legally if they are going to sue us for that now too?
